bounded by Main street, Elizabeth street.
Franklin street and West avenue, occupying
all the low land between Main street and
the Union School House. The suggestion is
u very important one, and demands the care-
ful consideration of all our citizens.
It has occurred to me, that a grand park
located south of Raymond street, extending
to Reed‘s Island. fronting on the river, and
extending west towards Mnln street. would
be the most desirable disposition of all that

land. The location is central, and act-easi-
ble. with splendid water front and beautiful
surroundings. The. expense of the proper-
ty and the cost of embellishment would be
