They rowed out to Fish- er’s Island on Saturday and in'returning were lost in a dense fog. It is thought that their row-boat was blown out to sea. A woman from Stat-cu Island with five children came to Roton on an excursion yesterday. She was left behind when the boat returned and came to South Norwalk, but had no money to pay her way home. Conductor John McMann, of the night switching gang kindly started a subscription and the money for tickets was raised. Another woman was alio left and her fare was procured in the same way. The black pirate sloop which cruised in Long Island Sound all last summer and was often seen all Calf Pasture, committing depredations along shore, has been seen in the vicinity of Green- wich within a few days. It is suspected that the capture of this sloop will be made by Commodore Bogart and crew on the Ward V. which left the Yacht club house last evening to cruise in that neighborhood. = Farewell to the Old corner.
