Dwyer, who will try their luck on the English turf this season, sailed on the steamship Majestic today. They were among the last to go aboard the vessel. Mr. Croker received a letter from Hardy Campbell, who has charge of the Croker- Dwyer horses quartered at N ewmarket. Campbell reports that the horses are all in excellent shape and doing well. Dobbins is at the Borough Green stud farm, New- market, and is in charge of Simon P. Arm. strong. Dobbins has already been mated with Flirt and a mare by Fonso-Lizzie O’Brien. ' Dobbin’s appearance and conformation are very much admired by the visitors t0 the Cambridge flats. He is out every morning for a constitutional. His exer- cise work usually occupies nearly two hours. Armstrong is very anxious to try a pat ent hoof bar, or clamp, that will protect the nerves of the foot from contact with the earth and enable Dobbins to stand training again.
