For a Sun-Exposed Nose.
For a nose addicted to sunburn, a. cor-
respondent gives the following treatment,
which is said to be successful:
If you will just treat it to a very thin
coating of bismuth before starting on a.
trip of exposure. it will preserve it from
the ravages of both the sun and the slin—
reflecting waves and you may go on the
water, the most trying test, and be as
happy the next day as though you had
sat in the shade. The skin will not peel
off and will not even burn. Simply use
the bismuth instead of your usual face
powder and you will find that it some-
what excludes the rays of light and thus-
prevents burning. Take along a relay in
your pocket and when no one is looking
make an occasional application and you
will return unscathed.

ing Good Reading.
The National Liberal Club of London
has adopted a novel method of circulat—
ing books among village libraries through-
out the United Kingdom. Many stout,
iron-bound boxes have been made for use
in shipping selected sets of books. Upon
the receipt of a fresh set of volumes the
village librarian packs up such of the
books as may be returned to the central
library and returns the chest.
This method of distribution has worked
so well that it is now prOposed to estab—
lish on a large scale a. similar village li-
brary system, to be known as the memor-
ial.
