will be pleased to hear that his condi-
tion is somewhat improved.
Ebenezer Hill of this city has been
‘ granted a patent 'on an improvement
in storing and distributing gas.
Fire alarm box No.14 will be tested
, to- morrow morning at nine o’clock,
and box 9 will be tested at ten o ’.clock
The air brakes on the baggage car of
the 10: 10 Danbury train, becoming set,
that train was delayed about ten min-
utes in leaving here this morning.
Miss Nellie Smith of Hanford Place,
and Mr. Charles B. Nash of Norwalk,
will be married to- -morrow night. Rev.
H. E. Barnes will perform the cere-
mony.
- South Norwalk’s natural beauties
have begun to make their appearance.
Most noticeable among them being the
pretty little lake on South Main street,
near the Washington street crossing.
To-morrrow night at Music Hall, Mr.
Frank Mayo and his powerful company
will present his famous woodland play,
“ Davy Crockett.” This is one of the
finest attractions now on the road, and
should be greeted with a crowded house.
The work on the new Tramway still
progresses rapidly. The poles for the
electric wires are being raised, and the
preparations for the other appliances
are being pushed forword. We may
, expect beIOre long to enjoy a ride on a
real live electric car.
To- night is the night fixed for the
Danbury Indians to come to our city
and teach Our braves all about the dif-
ferent methods of warfare. It is feared
an attack will be made on Trowbridge
& Co.’ 8 cigar store, as that is the ren-
dezvous of the South Norwalk Indians.
As spring advances, some thought
and attention should be given to the
flower mound on North Main street,
near the Congregational church. A
little care, and a few flowers would
make that barren spot an object of
beauty to the passer-by, and besides,
show that we are up to the times, in
some things, at least.
Mrs. Flynn, accompanied by another
lady were out driving in East Norwalk
Wednesday afternoon, when the horse
becoming frightened at a piece of pa-
per in the street started to run, collid-
ing with a lamp post and throwih both
ladies from the crrriage. Mrs. ‘lynn
was slightly injured and the carriage
badly damaged. The other lady was
more fortunate and beyond being
scared, was not hurt to any extent.
