T. C. Cavanagh will, in order to keep

The adjourned case of Michael Con-
ners came up yesterday afternoon be-
fore Justice Townsend, and was again
continued for three weeks
A. C. Cuneo, the hustling fruiterer
of Railroad Place, received alarge con-
s’ignment of fruits and nuts this morn-
ing, to the excellent quality of which
we can testify.
The regular business meeting of the
Y. P. S. C. E. of the South Norwalk
Congregational church, was held last
evening at the residence of Miss Lizzie
. I. Tolles, on Fairfield avenue. Follow-
ing the meeting was a social hour de-
lightfully spent, there being charades,
musical selections, etc., by those pres
out.
There will be a special meeting of
the Volunteer Hose company, No 0. 1,
Friday evening at 8 o’clock for the pur-
pose of considering the advisability of
attending the proposed joint meeting
of the fire companies of the district
March 20th, to take such action as
deemed best upon the proposition to
join the fire department.
James McMahon was quite badly in-
jured at the South Norwalk Athletic
, Club room last night. McMahon was
swinging on the 1”flying trapeze when
he lost his hold and fell, striking’n
his head. He was rendered uncon-
scious for about fifteen minutes after
which, he went home, having resolved
to keep 011 that trapeze in the future.
Miss Ullie Akerstrom, the actress
who has become such a favorite with
South N orwalk playgoers, will begin a
three nights’ engagement at the Nor-
walk Opera House March 23d. Ex-
changes say that Miss Akerst1 om is bet-
ter than ever, and this alone is suffi-
cient to predict a large attendance each
evening, both from this city and also
from Norwalk. '
