A regular meeting of the Council was
held on Monday evening. Mayor Adams
called them to order. uftci which thcy ml-
journed. and were then callbd together as
especial meeting to hour the parties in in-
temli in regard to tho lay-out and widen-
ing of Woodward avenue. Messrs. Ely.
Woodward. Coinatook, Rogers. Taylor and
Van Enlighten. residents of Woodward
avenue were present. who were called on
by the Mayor to express themselves in re-
gard to the proposed iiiipruveinent. which
they did and till were in favor of the hiy-
out and widening. t'ie only diflerenoo be-
ing in adopting the runways which havo
been made of the avenue. Most. all prcseut
were in favor of the survey made by Judge
Oraw some time ago. and tho pi‘ububllltica
are that chateau will be adopted by the
