eighteenth birthday of their neiee Miss Min-
nie Knapp, of this city. The house was

warned the gentlemen to select their fair
partners for the supper, which was gotten

The evening service had some peculiar feat-
ures. After an hour‘s prayer meeting the
meeting dissolved into n free and familiar
social intermingliug with religious converse-
tion and shaking of hands, continuing but
an hour, After which the pastor called the
meeting to order and gave a combined Bible
lesson and lecture on the “ evidences of
conversion." The meetings since have been
conducted by the pastor with the help of
Rev. Edwin Johnson, of Bridgeport, and
Dr. E. Rankin of Fuirfield. Several new
case. of conversion have occurred. Tue

duy night meetings for the Ipecial training
of new converts, which have been exceed.
