.——Two year old Norman Smith died
here today of injuries received when
an automobile. swinging around a
curve last night. struck the father of
the child, Charles Smith of Frank-
lin, and the baby carriage he wul
wheeling. The automobile was driv-
en on without stopping. Joseph
Dugay of Manchester was later ar-
rested, charged with operating a car
while under the inllucnte of liquor.
The police today said they believpd
that. it. was his machine which had
struck Smith and the icy. Smith
was severely but no‘. fatally injured.

said that Kowaisky's mental condi-
