her last trip in to the Point yester-
day until July 4. Last night she was
taken to the Tregartheu Dry Dock.
at the foot of 7th Street and the
East Riven. .‘ew York. where the
hull will be seraped and painted.
Most important of we changes will
lie the shipping of new propellers.
These will pm only be larger than
the present ones. but will have more
pitch. which will kick the beat for-
ward faster.
This should make the “Belle Isl-
and” the speedicst boat of her kind
on the Sound. Even with the pre-
sent crews. she shows her heels to
any excursion boat on these waters.
As the engines ease up and get away
from their stiff newness. she. will
make greater speed every day.
A good deal of discussion as to
whether or not she is faster than the
Fall River boats has been heard. but
it is not expected that she will ever
brush with one of these. as the
schedules takes the Fall River boots
up. as the lielle Island goes down.

day. Among them were 13 Catholic
sisters and 52 children from their
school. As they left. New York the
Federal authorities were towing
away the. latest catch of the rum

swing and slightly dent her steel
hull, breaking the gangway.

picture theatres throughout the
state for want of films. He issuedi

age of exhibitions of films in Con-
