names appear. Basing their calcula-
tion on these figures, the ofiicials
have estimated that. the difference
represents the number at streets.
which. must be renamed, approxi"
mately 1.800 in all.
Further perusal of the city's slicct
lists reveal the Auburn streets, the,
Austin streets, five Elm streets. the
Everett streets. five High
five Park streets. five School streets
and five \Vater streets. Therc are
the separate Lincoln Qlaces. There
are four Brook streets bear the
name of Allen, and'four n’ioro are
named Allston. Similar instances oc-
cur almost indefinitely.
