believe that the Leonard signature
has not yet been attached to the

tives of four local teams. namely-
Bpringwood Juniors. Redwoods.
Fireatoacs and Crescents.

CINCINNATI. Aug. 9.—Adolfo Lu-
que. temperamental Cuban and star
pitcher of the Cincinnati Reds. was
suspended yesterday as a result of
his fist fight with Casey Stengcl or
the Giants in the last gam: of the

Louise Dresser. famous 20 years
ago as a primn donna. and comedi-
enne is not as most people have
heretofore believed a sister of the
late Paul Dresser. picturesque song
writer and in his day. Broadway

sister of the celebrated writer of
"The Banks of the “'abash." “My
Gal Sal" and‘othor sentimental bal-
lads of the days before synocopa—
tion. Miss Dresser tells an interest-
ing story of how she came to assume
the name Dresser as a theatrical

said Miss Dresser. who takes a lead-
ing role in “The Fog" now playing
at Poli's. "My father was a con—
ductor on a railroad train back in
my home state. Indiana. “'orking

was Paul Dresser. and he. and my
father were staunch friends.
