Mexican minister of ar. and Pedro
J. Almada. inspector general of police
in Mexico City, has interested police
surgeons here with declarations of
having swallowed poison after having
been ejected from Charles Chaplin's
bedroom.
She gave the name of hire. Marina
Vega. of Mexico City.. While no
traces of poison were found, the
movie commedian. in whose automo-
bile she was taken to the Receiving
Hospital for treatment, told of sever-
al entrances effected to his house
through rusees.
Her story was of infatuation with
the comedian through seeing his pic-
tures in Mexico City, and unsuccessful
attempts to see him at the studio. fol.
lowed by gaining an entrance to his.-
rcsidcncc while he was out and re-
maining in his bedroom until discov-

The girl was induced to leave after

turned a second time and after being
put out she purchased poison at a

The death of Charles E. Masher
of the Great Plains district occurred
in the Danbury Hospital Sunday
morning at eight o'clock. He had
been ill with pneumonia since Friday.
He was 63 years old. He is survived
by six children. Mrs. Assel Anderson,
Mrs. Joseph Betta, Mrs. Patrick Kane.
Miss Bertha Masher. Charles and
ltnlph Masher. all of Danbury; by his
mother of Pawling. N. Y.. a brother,
John. of Darien .and two sisters, Mrs.
