Friday, March 23rd, at 8 P. M. -,
Called to protest against the action of the Charter Committee and their bill already introduced in the
Legislature, the purpose of which is to include the 5th District in the 4th.
We taxpayers and voters of the 5th taxing district, residing outside of the 4th taxing district, are
asked to pay double or possibly triple taxes for the rest of our lives, m order to help along schemes of
some of the politicians who are willing to sacrifice thousands of their fellow citizens for their own self-
such ini uitous le elation, and have ordered their representative bu the Charter Committee to re—
verse hixcxliself and glue against the bill. They have also directed their members in the Legislature to
Nobody wants this bill but the professional politicians, and. it is up to us who live in the 5th district
to pack the Assembly Hall on rrlday night and tell them so m no mistaken language.
Don’t allow anybody to tell you that the “whole matter amounts to nothing and is a deed is-
sue. " This is simply to throw you off their trail.
The fact is that the entire committee voted for the bill with possibly one or two exceptions, and they
propose to put the thing-over regardless‘ of protests, and let it be argued out somewhere else.
