In a one-sided basketball contest.
the Yale and 'l‘owne big five defeated
the Norwalk Red Men in the _ngh
School gymnasium last night by the
score of 48-17. At no time during
the game were the Red Men on even
terms with the locals.

team from Norwalk was much infer-
ior to the Yale and Towne basketball
tosscrs and failed to show any signs
of the wonderful exhibition that the
very same team displayed last. Mon-1
day night in Norwalk.
'l‘hu Moruke brothers were the shin-
ing lights of the game. P. Moruke
making seven field goals and A. Mor-
uke‘ caging five field goals and four
from the foul line. making a. total of
:8 points between them. The floor
work or “i'atsey” Moruke was up to
his usual standard. Carlson and
Saunders made four baskets each and
Fitzlmmons two. all played a. good
passing game and made the evening
lively for the visitors.
Meeker of the Red Men was the
best point getter for his aggregation.
making three field goals and caging
three more from the foul line. Court,
the Norwalk forward who managed to
rage six field goals in their previous
meeting. made but one last night. be-
ing: coscly guarded. Cnvanaugh. a
substitute. played the last few minutes
of the game and made a pretty field

Carpentier and “Battling" Sikl has
been definitely arranged for the af-
ternoon of September 16. in the Buf-
falo Stadium here.
Francois Deseamps has acknowl-
edged acceptance of the date in the
name of Cnrpcntier. and Siki. who
was informed by telegraph of the ar-
rangements. has sent. his acceptance
through his manager from Dublin.
