to present the play "A Wager Won."
As those”who saw ibknow. this is
strictlyjl. Girl Scout play. for it is not.
only a story of how a glrlwho object-
ed to all things pertaining to Scouts
finally became one herself. but the.
play was Written by a girl who is her-
self a Scout, like one of us. “’9 are.
rather proud of this, for it shOWS just-
one more thing that Scouts can do.
“’9 were greatly disappointed when
the illneés of MarthaChinsky, who
was to play the part.of Cecilee pre-
vented her from doing so. \Ve were
forced to postpone the play on this
account, but we feel that great credit
is due to Ethel Amrein who filled the
part so well with only a. week in which
to practice. Our friends have assured
us that. our production was a success.
and we are highly gratified.
Due to the time spent in practising
we were not. able to accomplish all the
Christmas work we had planned. All
that we succeeded inFAdoing for this
year was to provide each of the resi-
dents ut Naramake Home with a box
of candy for Christmas. “'1: hope to
do more another year.
In the meantime fifteen girls are
hard at work on their Tenderfoot test
and will complete it in January. '

Scouts of Troop 2 sent a card to each
inmate of. Naromake Home. thirty—two
in number. Each card contained an
appropriate Christmas sentiment. We
hope our treasury will be large enough
next year to do more.
The girls of Troop Two held a. very
successful cake. pic and bread sale on
Saturday. Dec. 24 at the Girls‘ and
\\'oman's Club. “'all street. As a re-
sult of the sale we have added thir—
teen dollars and sixty-five cents to th-
trc-usury. The cakes were sold by

our sewing test of seaming and hem-
ming. we. dressed dolls and made bags -
of various uses for Christmas. For a.

records to the Home for the Aged. On
December 27th. a Christmas penityfwas
elLioyed. a grab-bag and candy canes
being the main features. '

A number of Scout Captains were
present and Captain Edith Goodchild
acted as Patrol Leader during the In-
vestiture.
Mrs. A. 1?. Russell. secretary. was
also present to represent the Non-walk
Council.
After the Tcndcrfoot pins had beeIL
presented and the ceremony Conclud-
ed. Miss Conway gave a talk on Scout-
ing which was not only interesting to
the new officers but to the captains
who have had troop experience.
Some time in January work in 2nd
and lst (‘luss Scouting for officers will
be started.

home of Mrs. Munro. Second district.
