A number of East Norwalk people
no planning to attend the cloning
a” of the Danbury Fair today, to
fitness the auto mes.

 

Rev. J. W. Davis. of Bridgeport. for-
neriy pastor of the Advent Christian
church. will have charge of both the
morning and evening service. at the
church tomorrow.

On Monday evening the East Nor-
flalk Community Chorus. which des-
pite its name is open for all who wish
to join it regardless of whether:- they
live in East Nat-walk or in Winni-
pauk, will start oi! the second season
of its existence. with a "get together"
meeting at Christ church. The meet-
ings are to be held at Community ball
as usual. but on Monday. because of
the fair being held at Community
hall. the meeting will be held in the
parlors of Christ church. At this
meeting the members will discuss
various plans for the winter’s work
and will choose the music for the
year. Christmas carols will be re-
hearsed in preparation for n. Christ-

mas concert.

 

 

This evening a S oclock. the eight-
day fair of the Mayflower Hose: com-
pany. which has been long anticipat-
ed, will open with a bang at Com-
muniiy hall. Van Zandt street. oppos-
ite the fire station.
this evening will be an instrumental
concert. Door prizes will be distrib-
uted every evening. The interior or
the hall has been transformed into a
place of beauty. every possible nook
and corner of the hall bnving decorat-
ed elaborately. Svec's orchestra will
furnish the music for the dancing.
The various committees in charge of
Ihe lair are anticipating a buoy week
