Coroner Today

urdson. negro. who is said to have been
the driver of the car used by five ban-
dits at noon yesterday in the robbery
of a. New York central ticket agent
and the shooting to death of two rail-
road detectives.
‘l‘he bandits are believed to be sur-
rounded in a house. a mile. from the
scene of the robbery and detectives
armed with shotguns are pix-paring to
raid the place. \
Richardson was in bed when ar-
rested. The police found $2.200 hid-
den under the mattress and an addi-
tional $125 was found on the negro
when he was searched at police head-
quarters.
The dead officersore Sergeant Louis
Schroeder and Detective A .12. Long
of the Union station ticket office. The
ticket agent who gave up about 312.-
000 to the bandits is A. H. Breed.
The stolen money was the receipts
of the Union gtation sticket office. The
amount taken in since the banks clou-
ed on Saturday- When the automobile
occupied by Long. Schroeder and
Breed left Union station it was follow-
ed by another care containing five men
and the driver.
