Through the energetic efforts of the
members of the East Norwalk Im—
provement Association, Inc., comes an
other sorely needed benefit to the
East Nor-walk people. The association
has been in communication for a con-1
siderable time with the New Haven
railroad relative to the great difficulty
|n alighting irorn and boarding trains
at the west-bound station of the East
Norwaik depot. and their eil‘orts have
been recently crowned with success,
lnasmuch as they are In receipt‘of a
letter from Superintendent W. H. Fos-
ter. who advises them this difiicuity
'Is to be remedied by having the west-
bound platform raised to their stand:
ard height above the top of the rails
O! the tracks, and by putting in a con-
crete curb along the track side of the
cinder platform and filling the some
up to the standard height with cin-

railroad has received instructions to
