Lime company will put an additional
kiln in operation this week. The
cempany is making experiments with '
an Veiectriedriil, the first of its kind
ever used in this section. The New
England Lime company is installing
a. gas producer and rotary kiln at its
.piant in Adams. The company now
has six kilns in operation at the
Pierce and Freeman plant. The Can-
iieid Lime company is about to begin
the construction of the fifth kiln for
its plant.
The lime companies in the Canaan
district have been experiencing a
period of marked prosperity. It is
not expected that the total produc~
tlon this year will be as great as the
record output of last year.
