Howe, of Springfield, Mass, the only child ofwealthy parents and highly respectable citizens, mys- teriously disappeared on the night of January 30th. Every possible means was taken to re- store. the lost daughter, but to no purpose. At last Mr. Whitte- more, a friend of Mr: Howe, of Springfield, called at the office of Dr. S. W. He also stated that she had on all her clothing at the time. The body of MISS Howe was found on Saturday afternoon, not far from the bank, and but a short distance from where the ice is cut in winter.
