ernor’s salaries and has ascertained that
they range all the way from. one to eight
thousand dollars. The largest .or more
wealthy states pay most liberally. Louis-

and many less. Connecticut secures the

dollars. New York and Pennsylvania pay

Mich., gives the following details of the death
of La Mountain : _
The amount was fully halfa mile from
earth, and while the structure looked no
larger than a hogshead, the ‘balloon- slipped

shot with the moat terrific velocity, the un-
