A New Apportionment.
The new legislature will be called upon
to re-apport'ion the congressional districts,
under the census of 1860, and it will find the
districts as now bounded very unequal in

The New Haven Journal suggests as the
easiest change, setting off from the Second
to the Third, the towns in the northern por-

the eighteenth senatorial district. The dis-

Mr. B. was a native of New York City, where he
was formerly connected with the 'ith Presb. Church.
Removing into the country, some years ago, for the
benefit of his health. he united with the Congrega.
tiounl Church in Darlen, of which he was ever after
an active and useful member. Always ready for
every good work, he took a special interest in the
Sunday School enterprise, and was superintendent
of a flourishing little school in West Norwaik at the
time of his death. He was respected as a man. be-
loved aa aneighbor, and kind friend, and universal-
ly a fhvorito with the children of the community,
who testified their afi'ection for their teacher by
ringing, at his funeral, the beautiful hymn which he
had so often sung with them, commencing—
“Joyfully, joyfully, onward we move,
Bound to the land of bright spirits above."
His was a consistent Christian Life, and his end
was peace. Con.
