St. John’s day was celebrated by the
Masonic Order in Boston on Thursday
with unusual pomp and circumstance.—
The regalia was very splendid, and sim-
ple republicans looked for the time as gay
as the attendants on an Indian Rajah.—
The principal parties to the display were
the DeMolay encampment of Knight
Templars of Boston and their guests, the
Templars of Richmond Va. They march
ed in procession to Bunker Hill. where
they were addressed by G. IV. Warren,
the pressident of the Monument Associa-
tion, and by Dr. \Valker the Commander
of the De Molays. The formal ceremonies
of the day afterwards took place at Music
Hall, closing with a banquet in the even-
ing at the American House.
