Military.
The 5th Regiment Conn. Militia, Col. R. H.
White, went into camp at East Bridgeport, on
Monday evening and continued there until
last evening. There were five companies pres-
ent._. three from Bridgeport, one from Norwalk,
and one from Stamford. None of‘ them were
as full as they might and should have been,
but as all were in the regulation dress except

they presented It fine appearance. There were
about 125 rank and file in the five companies,
but every captain claimed to have nearly or
‘(MW "318 many men at home as he had on the
ground. The regiment showed a great im-
provenient over former years, not only in the
uniformity of dress. but the attention paid to
Abe more minute and nice points of dicipliue.
One of the best, though the smallest of the com-
‘patiios present,was the Stamford Light Guard,

the Fairfield County Court. and having for or-
derly sergeant, a gentlemen who first should.

NFORMATION is wanted concerning Ron-

inches high, and were when he left a black al-
pacca frock coat, thin dark plaid pants, dzc.
The last seen or heard of him was at the Shoe
Store of Wm. Dikeinan and the Toll Gate on
the evening of said day. As no cause can be
imagined for his wilfully abseutiiig himself
