This Steve has been used in various sections
- of the Country for upwards of 4 years and has
in al instances given univers.tl satisfaction in all
its departments.
No stove yet invented, has approximated so
neai°_to perfectioii as this one. Its capacity and
excellence for Baking, Roasting, Broiling, Fry-
ing or Boiling, has never been approached.
None that saves so much fuel, none so conven-
ient and use, none ro perfect in form mid con-
struction, and none in which the fire box and
oven fines, are so well and happily adapted to
their several objects and ends.
In all the stoves which are now extant, ovens
are made to bake by radiated heat and con;/incrl
‘hot air, and this is the reason why bread, &c.,
has to be lowered or raised, turned from side to
side, or in other words, watched almost contin-
ually, or _it will burn or bake very uneven. Not
so with‘ the Atwood Stoves. The air, in this in-
stance, is l_ieated, and by its expansion carried
in a current from the atmosphere through, by
the side of the fire box, into the oven, and ulti-
mately escapes at the flue over the top of t.he
oven—keeping a uniform temperature througli-
out the oven. The consequence is, that bread,
with a moderate fire, needs no attendancc.—
Herein consists the superior advantages of the
Atwood Cooking Stove over all others.

TIIE subscriber will sell his new
and valuable Mill Property in Nor-
walk. Said property is situated
' within halfa mile ofthe sloop landing
at the Bridge, and two and a half of the village
of Seth Norwalk where the Steamboats arrive
and depart each day. The Mill is 40 by 30 fr.
two stories high, and is arranged in part as a
saw mill, for sawing logs, and in part for turn-
ing, sawing, boring, morticing, &c by machine-
ry. The water wheel is an oversliot, and there
is sufficient. power to carry on all kinds of wood
manufactures from sawing the logs, to comple-
ting the work ; and connected with the mill are
all the necessary uiachincs for that purpose,
viz : circular and coach saws, turning lathe, ten-
