Since our former article, we have been to _the
trouble of examining into the merits of the rival
claimants for their original proprietorsliip o_ftltts
medicine, and can scarcely repressihe indigna-
tion we feel at the imposition pr‘actised upon us
by Mr. J. Burritt. of No. 12 Gold street, who
introduced to our clerk as the veritable Dr. Geo.
Taylor‘ 3 person by the name of Wilson. Mr.
B. afterwards admitted that it was not Dr. Tay-

THESE pills raise from the greatest weak-
ness, distress, andsuffering, to a state of
strength. health. and happiness. The name of
these pills originated from the circumstancegof
the medicine being found only in the cemetrtes
of Persia. This vegetable production being of
a peculiar kind, led in experiments as to ‘its
medical qualities and virtues. In half a centu-
ry it became an established medicine for the

State of New York.” All preparations of the
Balsam of Liverwort under my name. not ac-
companied with certificates of copy right, are
unauthorised and spurious, and a suitable re-
ward will be paid for such proof as will lead to
the conviction of any person who signs my
name to any paper relating to my Balsam of
Liverwort., And notice is hereby given. that
F. A. Th_2’y’er, of375 Bowery.in the city of New
York. _ who has heretofore corresponded and
transected business in the name of George Tay-
lor. M. D. is no longer authorised, but is spe-
cially forbidden to make rise of my name in any
manner, in connection with my Balsam of Liv-
erwort.

The action of this medicineis to aid nature in
all her salutory efforts. and where the digestive
organs are not filled with bile. acidity. or other
impurities. so that neither food nor medicinecan
be assimilated or taken intotlie system, the Bal-
sam is so eongenialto the laws of life and health
