‘ The father of Mrs. Maitland, was a Captain
Rivington, who had more than once distinguished
himself in the great contest which secured the
independence ofour highly favored country. On

Gregory, eldest son of Samuel Gregory, Esq. of
this town, aged about thirteen years, was out in

In lrlallowell, zlaine, between 63 and 70 have

In Ltidlow, Vermont, an uncommon attention
to religion is manifested; on the 14th May, 4|
were added to the church ; and in Plymouth, a-
bout 20 were added in a few weeks. _
There have been powerful revivals in Hartford,
Vernon, Kinsman, and Gustavus, in Aslttabtila
county, Ohio. These towtts are under the pas-
toral charge of the Rev. Hurvy Coe, and there are
about 200 hopeful C0m'ct'ts- There have also been
considerable revivals in '\Varren,, Howland, \'Vest-
(1,-id, B;;u‘z,cIta, Vi-entia, Jolinson, and \Vayne.—
Among; those who have been brought to bow to
the scieptrc of the Lord Jestts, aicseveral wlto
were lately infidels, drunkards. and other vicious

A revival has lately commenced in Nassau, N.
Y. About 70 are are alreatl’_.' hoping that they
ltave passed from death’ unto life. And in Ca-
matr, 22 were added to the church on the first
Sabbath in May. The work still continues. and
tltcrc were hopeful appcarar-ces, in the ticljttcent
towns, In Marlborougli, 115 have joined the
chutch witltitt two months. The good work of
God, which commenced in Pleasant Valley, last
September, cottritiuetl for some time; 81 have
