The great causes of tlissatisffaclion in tho cofihi

the capital : this influence has been obtained by
her great exertions in the national cause, as well
as her wealth, and the -intelligence b: -her cifizens.
Another cause of discontent is the dispute bes-

The cause of this dispute commenced with the
two rival cities Monte Video and Bucnos Ayi'es—..

of the Orientals, ashas been already stated, and

lution had co-mincnced at Buenos Ayrcs. But,
in the year l8ll, taking oficnce, as it is said, at

lonia. he abandoned the-royal cause, and _enter-
ed into the service of the patriots. 80 early as
the year 1813, when acting against Monte Vi-
deo, he became dissatisfied with Sarratea, the
