GENERAL DIRECTORY,

FOR THE YEARS

Compiled and Published by
, mMBKEir BOX©*
Home Office, Washington, D. C.
PRINTED BY
MacCbellisu & (|uiQi.ET, Book and Job Printers, 1(J E. State St., Trenton, N. J.
1881.
Entered according to act of Congres.s, in the year 1881, by W. Andrew Boyd,
in the Office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington, D. C.
p-
Verbum Sat Sapienii.
In presentinej this our first issue, we ask your kind con-
sideration. It has taken us a few days longer than we
expected, on account of the vast field to canvass to make
the book a complete one. As injustice is done nearly every
Directory, we suggest that " to find a name, you must know
how to spell it."
We have done all in our power to make this Directory a
success, and feel assured that the public will at once recog-
nize its superiority over all other Directories published of
Fairfield County, and will continue its publication from
time to time, as the demand requires.
We thank the public all for their assistance, and to those
who never buy, but borrow from their neighbors, and then
find fault,
WE ASK FORGIVENESS,
THE PUBLISHER.
November, 1881.
