Fall of a High-Wire Walker. Clifford Calverley, a high wire walk- er, fell from a wire at Pleasant Beach Thursday afternoon while doing his famous dive. He dropped fifty feet, but struck on his right hip in sandy soil and was not fatally hurt. His hip and shoulder were bruised and his right eye blackened.
