Comptroller Staub has let out by the
day theJob of regilding the capitol dome.
It was done by contract 15 years ago
and cost 2_,200. The copper surface of
the dome is to be sand-papered, scraped
and painted, before the leaf gold is put
on.

peared from a rowboat Friday night,
and it is probable that he was drowned
in the river. The river has been drag-
