The case of Messrs. Dione and Dur-
and vs. Reed Haviland was heard be-
fore Justice Austin, Saturday after-

their roms weie entered and clothing,
etc. was stolen. They seek to recover
from Mr. Haviland to the amount of
$60 each. Attorney Walsh appeared

Another Flag Incident.
Bridgeport was the scene of another
flag incident Sunday but not so excit-
ing as that of a year ago. Readers
will recall the excitement occasioned
last year by the action of several mem-
bers of the city battalion in making
the captain of a schooner haul down a
foreign flag. Yesterday a few soldier
boys were at the armory when they no-
ticed a small sloop lying at Lumber
street with an English flag flying in
the breeze. The captain was ordered
to haul it down. He did so promptly
and in its place .the stars and stripes
were hoisted. .

was charged with getting goods under
false pretences from a person known as
