tions of the rules in the use of water in
this city. Those who insist on using
water in opposition to the rules will
have the water shut off. from their

There is quite a little bathing being
indulged in at the present time. At
the Knob a number have been taking
advantage of the warm condition of the
water, and along the wharves of the
river, bathers may be seen at. almost
any high tide. ,
A Solma-n and Fred‘Quinterd started
at 4. 30 o’clock this morning, to drive to
Lake Waccabuc after fish. They
stopped at Silver Mine and secured
Sidney Guthrie, who is reported to
havc'personsl knowledge of the where~
abouts of every fish in the lake.
In coming up the Sound Monday at-
ternoon the Favorite again lost several
blades from her screw. She made the
usual trip to New York yesterday morn-
ing and was then sent to the dry deck
for repairs. The Work on the blades
was not completed in time for the rif-
ternoon trip consequently no boat came
up last night, This morning at 5
o’clock the boat reached her wharf in
this city and left 9.137115 on her regular
trip. -

run over at the Washington street
crossing, this noon, by a train on the
Danbury tracks. The eastern train had
just arrived and the young lady attempt- ,
ed to cross on a bicycle at the end of
the last: car and right in front of the
Danbury train which was backing.r
