Amos Gates captured fourteen. Nine

The heat drove nearly everybody
from this city to the seashore, yester-
day. The Tramway ran trailers at-
tached to the motor cars nearly all day
to accommodate the crowds. At Greg-
ory’s Point a large number of people
spent the day enjoying the invigorating
sea breeze, while at Roton the grounds '
were filled all day long with men, we-
men and children, who had deserted the
hot city for the cool breezes. .At the
Norwalk Yacht club the members con-
gregated in numbers, and several sails
dotted the “Cove.” The Knob was
one of the coolest places on the Sound -
during the entire day. After the red,
hot sun disappeared behind the western
hills the breeze was so cool that the
ladies were obliged to don their wraps
in order to keep warm. The members
'turned‘Iout in force and the grounds
were filled until late in the evening.
