on the Consolidated improvements was

Stamford citizens have ofi'ered a cup
to be raced for on the 25th between the

er, while the latter is 24 feet. 8 inches

A bicyclist from Stamford collided
with George Fitch yesterday morning
near the post office. The steps on the
. stranger’s bicycle caught in Fitch’s ma
chine spliiting the rim and breaking
out the spokes. Both riders were
- thrown but escaped serious injury.
Two juvenile apblicants fora night’s
lodging presented themselves at police
headquarters last evening. They gave
their names as Ernest Burdock and
Neil Marvehill, aged nine years each,
of'SOuthiNorwalk. The boys had been
sighted about Main street earlier in the
evening by Oflicer Nevins, who started
after them. They eluded him however,
by taking to their heels and disappear-
ing into Pacific street. The boys stat-
ed they had left their homes in South
. Norwalk yesterday noon with Lawrence
Bernard}? an older companion, ~czwho
"hadpromis‘ed to take the‘m‘F't'vhere- theyil
the road to this city, and as it was late
and getting: dark Bernard promised
them that they could remain with - him
at his aunt’s, Mrs. Igo’s, over night.
He shortly deserted them, «however,
and they boldly walked'into police
