The Wednesday Matinee Euchre club
met with Mrs. Herbert Matthewson on
Washington street, last evening, at
which meeting the ladies entertained
the gentlemen. The contest for ‘prizes
was spirted and several ties resulted.
Mrs. Robert McDonald won the ladies
first prize, Mrs. George Jennings the
second and Mrs. M. T. Hatch the con-
solation. For the gentlemen’s prizes
Mr. E. W. Beard secured the first, Mr.
F. H. Quintard the second and Mr. M.

egant repast was served and an unusally
