Doctors Bohannan and Dumor- tier, who were present, rendered medi- cal assistance and Mr. Barker soon re— covered. He is all right again to—day and attending to business as usual. Nicholas Martino and his brother. Daniel, were arrested by Chief Vollmer, yesterday afternoon, for assaulting Joseph Harrimau. ' The testimony went to show that the Martino boys had been in the habit of tormenting Harriman daily, and that yesterday Nicholas struck him on the nose with a stone. After hearing all the evidence Justice Smith discharged Daniel and fined Nicholas one dollar and costs, which was paid . There was acontinued hearing be- fore the committe on claims yesterday afternoon on the claim of Myra J. Davis of Darien for $7,500 for services incurred in the support of the home at Darien now used bythe state as a borne for soldiers, but formerly an institu- tion for soldiers’ children.
