The Former Declares That the Latter Takes
Liberties 'wu h the Truth.
BOSTON, May l.——.-'\., reporter called at
the Quincy House this morning and show-
ed Peter Jackson and his manager, “Par-
son” Davies, the press dispatch from Lon—
don quoting Corbett’s remarks in The
Sportsman.
Jackson took the matter very 00011 and
showed his ivories when he read the 0 large

“This man Corbett is the two ends of the
darndest liar the world ever saw, and the
only reason why I am not training is sim-
ply that I am waiting something definite

talk and agreed that the fight would not

there is not a word in the agreement to
that effect. “'0 are willing to fight atany
time, and I will bet him the stakes—that
is, $10,000 a side—~if he will come to time.
