Seven petitions for divorces were
down on the short calender list of the
Superior Court Friday and but two
were heard and granted, the remainder
going over to next week.
The first to be heard was Mathea N e-
cander of Norwalk. She gave as the
reason her husband Mathias was habit-
ually intemperate. He resides in Min-
nesota. The couple were married Sep-
tember 6, 1880. The custody of two
children, Lillian, aged 13 and Oscar 7
years, was awarded the plaintiii‘.
Mary E. Bounds was divorced from
Benton A. Bounds. Cause, habitual
intemperancc. The couple were mar-
ried'December 15, 1887-. The plaintifi‘
was allowed a change of name to Mary
E. Meyer. .
