Two; ladies from Five Mile River
had their carriage demolished by their
horse, on West avenue, near the Ar.
mory last evening. The animal became
scared at the shadow of an electric
light and overturned and wrecked the
carriage. The ladies were not injured

at Solman’ s stable, returned to their
homes.

up by the dog catchers yesterday, but

The reason why young Elis F. Makin

escape the gaze of the large crowd who
were waiting to attend his trial. When
he was taken to Attorney Light’s office,
however, he changed his mind as soon
as he saw Mr. Hoyt come forward to
appear against him, and plead not
