Roy E., the sixteen months old son
of Mr. and Mrs. William Armstrong,
died last night of Membraneous croup.
Funeral will be held this afternoon.

the remonstrances against liquor sa~
loons, we may soon expect to see Di-
vine services conducted on the public

The'case of Harry Doulens who was
arrested some days ago for assault on
John Seymour, came up this morning
before Justice Barrett and was contin-
ued for sixty days.
John Buckdok, a Hungarian, was ar-
rested Saturday night for drunkenness.
This morning Justice Barrett fined him
32 and costs. As Buckdok had no money
he was taken to Bridgeport jail.
The air brake on a car of an express
train became so tightly set Saturday
afternoon that it was impossible to
move the train for several minutes.
The brakes were finally released and
the train continued on its run.
"The graduating class of ’93 of the
South Norwalk High School, accom-
panied by several of their friends, took
a sail on the Sound last Saturday morn~
ing in the boat Florence B. They re-
turned about five o’clock in the after-
noon, all highly pleased with their
day’s outing.
The base ball team from R. & G.’s
factory went to Westport Saturday
afternoon and played the team from
that town. The game resulted in a
bad defeat for the R. &. G. ’s. Score, 28
to 4. At Darien. the home team was
defeated by the South Stamfords by a
score of 12 to 9.

ing a cash bond of $50. '
