are in Danbury to- day attending the
meeting of the Grand Lodge, which Is
being held In that town.

August K. Padzellny the infant son

‘ of James Padzellny, died of convul-

sions yesterday at his home on Third
avenue, East Norwalk.

Sherman Council, Royal Arcanum,
will meet this evening. Important busi-
ness, relative to the celebration of Ar-
oanum Day, will be transacted.

Members of Uncas Tribe, No.26, I.
O. R. M., will meet to- night, at the I.
O. O. F. hall at 7. 30 o’clock sharp.
The Danbury Tribe will do the work.

Miss Daisy Scudder entertained the
members of the graduating class of ’93
and their friends at her home on West
street last evening. A most enjoyable
time was had by all.

Charles Lynch, Jr., employed in the
corset factory, was taken with a fit
while at work this morning. He was
removed to his home where he soon re-
covered. The young man is subject to
fits.

A woman on Tolles street was seized
with an attack of vertigo yesterday
morning, and dropped her infant on
the floor. She afterwards became wild
and created plenty of excitement in the
neighborhood.

The W ater Commissioners and a
party of private citizens drove up to
the new reservoir this morning for the
purpose of making an examination of
the state of affairs at the reservoir, and
to see what can be done to improve the
quality of the water.

When Chief Vollmer arrived at New
Haven esterday, he learned that
Daniel Ward, the man for whom he
went to New Haven, was doing time in
jail. As his sentence will not be served
out until Aug. 16th, the Chief arrested

’ him and Ward will be brought here

after he has served his term in New
Haven.

The grocery store of Conrad Becker,
on Washington street. was entered by
threves last night, and thirty cents in
change and a small quantity of cigars
were taken. The thieves gained an
entrance to the store over the fan light.
