The brute displayed almost human intelligence as he piloted his blind master about the streets, into stores and across the rail- road tracks. In stating that the Danbury Red Men would work the fourth degree for Uncas Tiibe, to-morrow night, we were in error. Instead of the fourth degree it should have read, the four degrees. Russell Frost left town this morning for Chicago, where he will at- tend the meeting of the National So- ciety of the SOns of the American Revolution, as alternate, in place of Jonathan Trumbull, president of the Connecticut Society. Chief Vollmer went to New Haven this morning after Daniel Ward, who is wanted 1n this city for breaking into a freight car last April. The New York police arrested Ward some time ago, and he was committed for fifteen days, to await the action of the authorities here, but by the time the afiidavits of a conductor could be obtained, the fifteen~ days had elapsed and Wm d was 1e- leased. Word was received here yes- terday that the New Haven authorities had captured Ward and Chief Vollmer will bring him back to this city, where he will be tried.
