Formal Charges of Drunkenness and As- ' sault Made Against Him. i PHILADELPHIA, March 9.——Capt. Thur- ber Brazier; commanding the battalion State Fencibles of this city, has forward- 'ed to Gen. Robert P. Dechert of the First 3Brigade four specific charges against Lieuta Col. Streator of the Tenth Regi- ment, because of the latter’ 5 alleged im- ‘ 3proper conduct at Washington last Sat- urday. The charges are: First, conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman;< s,econd drunkenness; third, assaulton an officer, and fourth, inciti’ng to riot. Gen. Dechert will forward the charges to Division Headquarters, and from there they will be sent to Gov. Pattison. Lieut.-Col. FARROWS TO BE INDICTED. The Holland Trust Company’s Lawyer Has Taken Steps. Toms RIVER, N. J., March 9.—-Lawyer E. H. Murphy of New York, counsel for the Holland Trust Company, telegraphs that he has taken steps to have the Far- rows, who participated in the battle on Saturday for the possession of the Barne- gat Park Hotel, indicted for criminal as- sault. -~ This announcement caused much con- sternation among the supporters of the ,Farrows. Both sides are now resting on their arms. The “Greater New York” Bill. ALBANY, N. Y., .March 9.—A hearing was given yesterday on the bill to submit to the people of New York, Brooklyn and adjacent territory the proposition of joining the towns and cities at the mouth of the Hudson into one city. Strong arguments were made in favor of the bill, it being declared that annexa- tion would decrease taxes in Brooklyn. Mayor Boody of that city favors a popu- lar vote on the question. Y., March 9.—The large Central New York branch boot and shoe house of G. W. Ingalls & 00., who have 20 stores throughout the United States, was closed by the Sheriff yesterday upon con- fessed judgments amounting to $50,000. Wilkins, supposed to be wealthy, has disappeared from Sioux City, Mo, owing creditors $60,000. A passenger train and a freight collided on the P. R.’& N. E. R.
