The funeral of Alexander Morton will
be held to- -morrow after noon.

next Monday evening.
The funeral of John Rowbotham will

Mr. Wilbur Doulens of Arwinton
Medical University, is spending a few
days with friends 1n this city.
Miss Anna S. Dunning, assisted by
her pupils and Mr. .Hardy, gave
a delightful musicale at her home on
West street last evening.
F1ed. Scam came near being num-
bered with the victims of railroad acci-
dents last evening. He was on a pas-
senger train at the depot when he sud-
denly slipped from the steps to the
track below and would have fallen un-
(101 the wheel had not a gentleman
g1abbed him and lifted him to a place
of safety, very much scared, but unin-
jured.
The next week will be an interesting
one for our play goers. Manager
Knapp has booked the following at-
tractions for the next few days.
Every one is first class in all respects,
and should be greeted with crowded
houses. To night George Wilson’ s fa-
mous minstrels hold the boards; Mon-
day, Tuesday and Wednesday nights
next week, Prof. Bartholomew’ s cele-
b1 ated ediicated ponies and horses are
to appear, Thursday night the famous
Mark Murphy' 1n 0’ Dowd’s neighbors,
and Saturday night the far famed
Devil’s Auction Company will be here.
