Buckner’s famous comedians are to
be the attraction at Music Hall Friday

William Ward was sentenced to fif-
teen days for vagrancy this morning
by Justice Townsend.
Expressman Walter Hall is all smiles
since yesterday morning, when his
wife presented him with a seven pound
girl baby.
It begins to look as if the “change’g
that so many business and working
men voted for last fall, was gradually
tightening it’s grip, at least here in
Norwalk.
The many friends of H. W. Bodwell
will be pleased to know that he was
able to resume his duties at the City
National Bank yesterday after an ill-
ness of about three weeks duration.
Classen Anderson, mention of whose
incarceration in the City lockup, was
made in these columns yesterday, was
taken to Bridgeport this noon, he be-
ing unable to procure the $500 bonds.
A young man about 16 years old was
inquiring last night of persons in the
vicinity of the depot, if they could tell
him where he could get work. He said
that his name was Delaney and that he
had ran away from his home in New
Milford.
A meeting of the voters of East Nor-
walk will be held this evening in the
house of Volunteer Hose 00. at eight
o’clock, for the purpose of voting for,
or against consolidation with South
Norwalk. A full attendance is desired,
especially of property holders, as they
should vote for the interests of East
Norwalk.
A horse belonging to a gentleman
named Lockwood, of Darien, slipped
and fell yesterday afternoon at the cor-
ner of Elizabeth and Water streets.
Examination showed that the beast had
broken his leg in two places. He was
gotten upon his three feet and a veter-
inary summoned. As nothing could be
done by which the horse could ever
agazn use the injured member, he was

To Impeach the Governor:
LINCOLN, Neb., Jan. 25.—Barry, Popu-
list member from Greely county, offered
a resolution in the House of Representa-
tives yesterday to impeach Gov. Crounse
for approving the bonds of C. W. Masher
and R. C. Otcalt, president and cashier of
Capital National Bank, which failed with
$225,000 of State funds in its possession.

Judiciary Committee will report adverse-
ly Senator Plunkitt’s bill to allow a
legislator of Eeven years’ continuous ser-.
vice to become a lawyer without an ex-
amination. This is the bill which would
permit the Hon. Timothy Dry Dollar
Sullivan to practice law.
