Engineer Harry Pickering who had
charge of the steam roller while here is
now engaged at the big quarry in
Fan-field, running the big engine that
furnishes the power for making stone
ballasting for the Consolidated road.
Engineer Wood is making a survey
as to the feasibility of draining the
pestilential pond at Benedict Farm, and
in all probability it will be ditched, at
which the residents will be exceedingly
glad. It is the worst plague spot in
that section of our town.
The funeral of Mrs. Arr etta Reming-
ton Ruggles will be attended from the
Methodist church at 1 o’clock to-day.
The contribution of flowers from sor-
rowing friends were magnificent there,-
