Mrs. Charles Ruggles died very sud-
denly at her home in Bridgeport yes-
terday afternoon, of heart disease. She

maiden name was Anretta Remington,
and she is a daughter of Mr. Seth Rem-

Local Editor Wade created quite a‘
sensation on the steamer Medea, yes-
terday, by coming on the hurricane
deck with a bottle of milk in that mem-
ber of his anatomy that indites sarcas-
tic sayings for the Hour. Mr. Wade
hash preference, but it is not for milk.
Two or three of Fred. Quittman’s
sailing party, yesterday, took a skifl'
and went crabbing. They returned
with a bushel basket full, but were
somewhat disgusted when Speeler
Smith told them that they were nothing
but sea spiders.
