This morning as the 8:21 train on the
_ D’anbury road arrived in this city, at-
tention was attracted to the pilot of the
locomotive by reason of its having
horns. It seems that at Georgetown
the locomotive struck a cow and the
horns became so thoroughly imbedded
in the locomotive pilot they could not
be removed. A passenger makes the
remarkable statement that there was
three inches of milk in the cab of the
locomotive, but Engineer Dougherty‘
informs your reporter that that is a
base exaggeration‘,as the cow had ap-
parcntly been milked before meeting
her fate, and the locomotive.

Lieutenant Evans In Disgrace.
WASHINGTON, July 22.—F1rst Lieutenant
‘Géorg‘e'fl. Evans, of the Tenth cavalry,
Company G, stationed at Fort Grant, A.
'13., has been tried by a court martial on
the charge of being drunk while on duty
and found guilty. Evans will be dismissed
unless the president decides otherwise.
